Enjoying the Season!

We have been enjoying time as a family with Ryan home for our two weeks off. It has been a blast. Celebrating Jesus' birthday has brought way too much food, way too many toys, lots of love, and some great memories.

Lead Me

This is one of my favorite songs right now...at this time I don't think I could listen to it too much. If I had a repeat button this would be the song that would be re-playing. I am very thankful for Ryan and the example he sets for our boys. We love him so much and miss him when he is gone. I strive to be the best wife and mother that I can be and want to make sure I am providing the boys with what they need to be spiritually stable. I am thankful that Andrew is learning bible stories and understanding them. He came home yesterday talking about Moses and how he was in the desert and God made the "yummiest bread" fall from the sky for Moses to eat. He then proceeded to tell me how God takes care of us all of the time even when we are sad or naughty. Gosh I love that little boy and his excitement to learn! I hope that never leaves him.

Weekend!

It was nice to spend the weekend with Ryan! The boys enjoyed spending every minute with him hardly letting him leave their sight. The weekend was pretty uneventful but we did spend some time with both of our families. All in All, it was a nice weekend! Now the countdown begins to Thanksgiving! Not too long at all! I think we can handle that! We thank God for times when we are all together!

Countdown is almost over!

We have been counting down to Ryan coming home this weekend! The boys are excited and so am I. I am sure the weekend will fly by because he is home but we will enjoy it while we can! Thankfully he will be home again for Thanksgiving! We thank God for the visits and even more the man Ryan has become. Thanks for being a great dad and husband! We love you and can't wait for you to come visit!

Halloween Fun!

The boys and I have had a busy weekend. Friday night we went over to my sisters for a Halloween party. The boys had a blast playing games and being wild. Saturday friends came over and went trick or treating. The boys got way too much candy. Sunday should be less busy and give us a chance to relax. The boys miss their daddy and can't wait for November 11.

Remembering why we're here!

The phrase, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" has been on my mind lately. Bearing all of the responsibility is difficult and sometimes make me want to scream profanities. I do not, instead I look strong on the outside, keeping it all bottled up and think about that saying, however, it is 'killing' me sometimes. I have learned that it is okay to break down even though it doesn't happen at the most convenient of times. Today I was reminded in church that God is good and he does everything for a reason and HE IS ON MY SIDE...Who can be against me, if God is with/for me? Sometimes I want to boys to know that I am weak and I just need them to behave...but they are kids and they are affected by everything too. I need God on my side so that I can survive day to day! I needed that reminder!

Give me Jesus!

Koetsier's Greenhouse

We spent this morning at Koetsier's Greenhouse and the boys had a blast. They wore their costumes and got some treats and a free hayride. They had a blast. We meant a friend of mine and her two boys too. We went on a hayride, despite to rain, and had fun looking for the pumpkin people, the big spider and the pumpkin patch. Next weekend Halloween party and Trick-or-Treating...the things we look forward to doing when we are parents. :)

Missing Daddy!

The last couple of days have been pretty rough. Michael, especially, misses Ryan and has been having pretty severe temper tantrums at night. I have been loosing my patience so it has been hard for all of us. We are still counting down until November 11th when Ryan will be visiting but I know once he leaves it will be an adjustment all over again. Please pray for us as this adjustment is hard on us all. I need prayers for patience....it is hard being a single mom. Looking forward to November 11. The weekend is coming soon and we're looking forward to going to a farm and having fun!

The Zoo goes Boo

We had a great time at the John Ball Zoo Saturday. The have Halloween fun with the Zoo goes Boo where kids can dress up, go trick-or-treat, see the animals, do crafts, and see volunteers dressed up and walking around. The boys had a blast! The only thing missing was daddy and they sure do miss him. Waiting until November 11th when he comes to visit again.

The Weekend

Ryan was home for the weekend and we had a great time. We spent Saturday at Post Family Farms with the boys and some friends from church. Sunday we went to church and relaxed. After the boys naps we headed over to my parents and ate pizza and visited for a while. I took Monday off from work and Ryan and I brought Andrew to school and got some groceries with Michael. The boys really enjoyed having a long weekend to spend with Ryan. It was difficult to say good bye again and now it is time to adjust again to not having Ryan home. The countdown begins to November 11 when he gets to come visit us again.
